The 5kg CO2 fire extinguisher is the best extinguisher to cover the risk of fires involving live electrical equipment in larger premises with an 89B fire rating. That includes workshops, factories, commercial kitchens, lift motor rooms, large electrical intakes and the like. The 5kg CO2 extinguisher has all of the approvals that you will need to satisfy your insurance - such as being Kitemarked to BS EN3 - and Fire Regulation requirements. Complete with a wall hanging bracket and a flat base if you decide to use an extinguisher stand.
It is easy to use with its horn being attached by a long hose. Most buildings will have Class A fire risks (wood, paper, materials) and electrical fire risks so a fire risk assessment for Fire Regulations will tell you that you need a CO2 fire extinguisher and the 5kg CO2 fire extinguisher will do the job. Plus, it can be maintained and refilled by any qualified service company.
To accompany your CO2 fire extinguisher and cover Class A fire risks, any water or foam extinguisher 3 litres or bigger will be adequate per 200 square metres per floor.
