Intumescent Downlighter Cover

It is necessary to have Intumescent Downlighter Cover, especially since downlighters placed within ceilings are utilized widely in commercial buildings whose ceilings are subject to fire restrictions. As such, the ceiling construction should be fire-rated. However, the minute a hole is made for the downlighter, the construction integrity and fire-resistance property of the ceiling is compromised.

During a fire situation, the cover gets to expand internally and fills all space available with highly-insulating fire-resistant char. This fire-protection property of this product is 60-minute fire rated, suitable for plasterboard, suspended or concrete ceilings. It has five fire hood sizes ranging between 150 by 150mm and 350 by 230mm.
