Firex KF30 Heat Alarm

This Firex KF30 heat alarm with battery backup is the alarm to fit in your kitchen (replaced the discontinued Kidde 4899). Designed to go into alarm at 57 degrees Centigrade, a heat detector will not cause nuisance alarms from burnt toast and steam. Interconnectable to up to 23 other Firex or Kidde Slick mains alarms and fitting could not be easier. Fully conforming to BS5839-pt6 Grade D, this alarm has a 6-year warranty but remember to have ionisation and/or optical alarms in the house, too. A single hush and test button is standard and the battery is included. A heat alarm is also suitable for installing in a garage as it will not be susceptible to dust and fumes.

 

Note - in the options, there is a long life version with a lithium backup battery that is guaranteed to last the 6 years of the alarm warranty. Standard backup batteries need replacing every 12 months.
