Smoke-Rated Surface-Mounted Bottom Door Seal

The smoke rated bottom door seal has been designed for face-mounted applications. It’s powered by the pressure exerted on its adjustment block by the door jamb. This has been crafted to ensure that the seal retracts automatically when door opens and it seals when it opens. This fire protection gadget suits metal or wooden door assemblies and is has undergone testing on proprietary fire doors. In addition, it has an aluminium body comprising of a self-extinguishing coextruded PVC rubber seal and a carrier.

The seal may be fitted inside on the lock-side by means of a bumper or on the non-lock side on the door exterior. It has been tested and proven durable without exhibiting failure for smoke doors that are fire-rated reaching up to 200,000 cycles. Having a maximum drop of 14mm, this seal drops on the hinge side to fully cover any space below the door. It is suitable for all kinds of swing doors with gaps between 3mm and 14mm. Along with being available in varying lengths, this smoke-rated, surface-mounted bottom door seal comes with screws for fixing.
