A good fire alarm system will comprise of many different elements. These all work together to create a system which you rely on to keep you safe in the event of an emergency. And we stock everything you’ll need.

You will control the whole system from a control panel on the wall, generally located by the main entrance. It will inform everyone, including the fire brigade, where the fire located so they can respond quicker. You can even ensure they work when the power goes off by fitting them with battery backups.

Your system will rely on the detectors. Different sensor types are more suited to different jobs, so ensure you pick the right one where you are intending to install it. Just like with standard alarms, you can choose between optical, ionisation and heat detectors. With detector testers and cleaners, you can also keep them well maintained.

Call points will allow anyone to raise the alarm with ease should they locate a fire before the detectors have discovered it.

It is then up to the sounders, bells and beacons to alert everyone to the emergency. Most people will recognise the noise of a bell or sounder, and will know instantly what to do. But for whatever reason, it may not always be possible to hear them. It is for those instances that it would be appropriate to install a beacon as well.

Linking all this together is the fire rated cables which will resist fire long enough to evacuate the building.
