The advanced multi-sensor Nittan EV-DPH-CS Dual Optical and Heat Alarm provides a reliable method of detecting a fire which is also less prone to false alarms. As well as the benefits of both, the low-profile detector uses drift compensation data and a grey chamber to avoid dust and other slow environmental changes from affecting its performance. With one unit comprising of two different (dual optical smoke and CS fixed-temperature 92°C heat) sensor types, the innovative design reads both signals simultaneously and generates an alarm from either, or both, sensors. Plus, using an award-winning innovation, false alarms caused by steam are prevented thanks to its Infra-Red and blue LEDs. With a more accurate measurement, the detector can calculate the particle size which allows it to distinguish between smoke and non-combustion particles. Ideal for areas of multiple occupancy such as flats, hotels and hospitals. And to give you peace of mind it’s working reliably, it has a self-test function which will let you know if there is a problem. The 360°, Omni-view LED, shown in the picture as the red ring, shows when the alarm is activated or flashes to show it is communicating with the control panel, although this is controllable. The low-profile detector can be installed in any orientation using a detector base (available separately). The EV-DPH-CS detector is compatible with Nittan and Nittan protocol systems and will need addressing with a handheld programming tool. For a dual optical and heat detector with a rate-of-rise sensor, look at the Nittan EV-DPH-A2R Heat Detector. |
