Intumescent Expansion Joint Seal

With an Intumescent Expansion Joint Seal you are able to maintain the fire resistance of compartment walls and floors. This comes in handy when designed movement or expansions joints are required either horizontally or vertically.

It’s flexible and water resistant, and once exposed to high temperatures, will expand to seal the area. When burned, a carbonaceous char is formed by the graphic, which will prevent the spread of fire and maintain compartmental integrity.

Once installed, they will provide a 2-hour fire resistant barrier. Made from an elastomeric foam laminated with an intumescent graphite-based compound.
