There are many industries where working with flammable or volatile liquids is normal. And using Safety Cans is one of the only ways you can make such a dangerous job as safe as possible.

Constructed of either galvanised steel or a high-density polyethylene, depending on their use, they are built to be as strong as possible and meet the extreme demands of containing such dangerous materials. But as well as that, they also have the aim of making their use as easy as possible.

And because the contents of them can be incredibly dangerous, many technologies in these cans help to make them as safe as possible. All of them contain a steel arrester of some kind which works to dissipate heat in order to prevent ignition from flashback.

Some of these cans also feature a carbon insert which can help to properly ground the container. This stops a build-up of static energy which could also cause a spark to ignite the contents.

Many of them also have mechanisms which allow them to self-ventilate. When storing liquids such as these, if pressure were to build up inside these cans, ruptures and explosions would be possible. So these are vital.

They can reduce the likelihood of leakage too as many of the cans also have lids which will close themselves. These ensure as little oxygen as possible enters that can, but also stops any slips of the mind from proving costly.

Storing And Dispensing Liquids

With these cans, they need to be strong and robust to make sure they’re up to the hazardous environments they are sometimes used in.

They also have a variety of features which work to make the filling and pouring of volatile liquids as safe and as easy as possible. Flexible spouts mean you can accurately transfer liquids without the fear of spillages.

Some containers also have faucets. With different types available, you should have no problem finding one which will suit your application. And of these, it is even possible to have one which sits in a solid frame to make tilting the cans as effortless as possible.

Working With Volatile Liquids

Especially in laboratories, but also in many other industries, it is common to use flammable and other dangerous liquids on a day-to-day basis. This in itself presents a huge fire hazard in the workplace. However, there are cans available which will reduce the chance of fire as much as practically possible.

There is a can available which will allow you dispose of oily cloths. This keeps them well away from stray sparks which can cause a fire, and even help protect against spontaneous combustion.

The safety plunger also provides an effective way of dispensing hazardous liquids to a cloth. Its system protects the contents until needed, and ensures there is no waste.

Plus there are tanks and cans available which make the process of cleaning various components and small parts really simple.
