Fire Rated Access Panel

Fire Rated Access Panels provide fire protection for openings in walls and ceilings which allow access for building engineering services. With a fire rating of up to two hours, they will keep corridors safe so people can make a safe exit in the event of a fire.

Available in different sizes, you’re bound to find one to fit. The type of panel frame you chose, however, is dependent on circumstance. If you are retrofitting the panel, then a picture frame surround is best. However, if the surface has yet to be skimmed, the beaded frame is the better choice.

Either way, it will blend in with the wall or ceiling it is fitted to. Powder coated white, these panels are also suitable for painting, which means it won’t stand out.

And when aesthetics are important, these panels also have a patented spring loaded invisible keyhole. This hides the unsightly lock until you need to use it. As standard, these panels come supplied with black T key. However, for better security, you may want to choose the Radial Pin Tumbler (RPT) option or Euro Profile Dead Lock.

With the larger panels, they operate using a full-length piano hinge, whereas the small units have pivot hinges.
