Chrome fire extinguishers are not actually coated in chrome. Instead, they are manufactured from high grade stainless steel and polished to a mirror, chrome-like finish. All relevant safety information is then printed onto the body. CO2 chrome fire extinguishers are made from highly polished aluminium.

Since chrome fire extinguishers are made from either stainless steel or aluminium, they are highly corrosion resistant. So, they are perfect for use in humid conditions such as spas and swimming pools, or seaside and marine locations.

Kitemarking Chrome Fire Extinguishers

Chrome fire extinguishers cannot be Kitemarked in accordance with BS EN3, as this requires they should be painted red. In all other respects, they are identical to our standard, Kitemarked, red-bodied fire extinguishers.

Chrome extinguishers look so smart, it seems a shame to hide them away on a wall or plastic floor stand. So, why not display your extinguishers to their best advantage on a curvy chrome fire extinguisher stand instead?
