The fear of any commercial kitchen is a fire involving fat or grease (Class F), as they’re incredibly dangerous and difficult to extinguish, unless you have the 6 litre wet chemical extinguisher. Imperative to have on hand, it ensures the flames can be put out quickly with minimal damage to the kitchen and without putting your life in too much risk. The extinguisher is easy to use, producing a gentle but high effective spray which helps prevent oil splashing and features a stainless steel lance which means you can put out the flames without getting too close. With a 75F rating (meaning it’s capable of extinguishing a fire in a 75 litre deep fat fryer), it also has a 13A fire rating for use on Class A and B fires, unlike some others on the market. The Wet Chemical rapidly knocks the flames out, cools the burning oil and seals the surface to prevent re-ignition thanks to the potassium solution inside. Plus, the Commander 6 litre wet chemical fire extinguisher is manufactured to BS EN3, CE Marked and has a 6 year warranty. Suitable for deep fat fires in kitchens. Types of fire Class F (cooking oils and fat), Class A (wood, paper, cloth, etc) Anticipated lifespan with indoor use and proper maintenance - 10 years.
