The PowerX 6 litre water spray fire extinguisher is manufactured by Thomas Glover. What they have produced is a water extinguisher which is environmentally friendly.

This extinguisher is filled with normal tap water, containing no extra additives or treatment. That means disposing of the contents is hassle-free and there are no expensive refill costs. Pressurised with air or nitrogen, any competent engineer can service it easily and with no nasty additional costs.

The spray nozzle on the end of the hose is also clever. It sprays the water in such a way that it cannot conduct electricity. And when they tested it for use on 35,000 volts, they lived to tell the tale. Although not designed for electrical fires, it does mean you won’t receive a nasty shock if you accidentally sprayed it on electrics.

With a 13A fire rating, this extinguisher is suitable for most buildings, such as shops, offices, schools, hotels, theatres and warehouses. Plus it’s safe to use on all Class A fires, including wood, paper, and fabric.
