Our Kidde slick wireless optical smoke alarm (previously 2SF23/9hi) is the photoelectric version of our wireless smoke alarm and specialises in detecting slow, smouldering fires, while remaining less prone to nuisance alarms from steam and cooking particles. It also boasts a fast-fit base plate and a double-decker screw less terminal; thus, fitting, installation, removal and overall maintenance takes very little time and effort. This 230V optical smoke alarm also features a separate hush and test buttons, auto reset, and green and red LED alarm status indicators. It is suitable for bedrooms, living rooms and areas with furniture and fixtures. The Kidde slick wireless optical smoke alarm comes with a 6-year guarantee, and manufactured in accordance with BS 5839, Part 6.
 
Optical alarms are suitable for smouldering fires and are to be used in hallways, bedrooms, and offices - a house should have a combination of optical and ionisation
 
Do not use in or too near to a kitchen or shower room
 
Fixing requires two little screws and wallplugs (included) to screw to ceiling and connection into a local lighting circuit with the screwless terminal blocks.
